Leave room for change without building vague space

Future flexibility is useful when it is tied to a likely need. A clear bay that could hold a larger vehicle is different from an oversized open area with no planned function. Movable storage, accessible utility routes, and a simple structural layout may support change without guessing at every future hobby.

Make a room-by-room equipment list, then sketch the path each large item takes from the driveway to its working or storage position. That movement diagram is the most useful next step before deciding the shop's footprint and door locations.
