How much does it cost to build a custom home in Central Texas?

How do I get a real number for my project?

Use our online estimator for a fast ballpark, then schedule a free consultation. We price builds all-in, allowances included, so the number you plan around is the number you build to.

What drives cost the most?

Size, finish level, and site conditions, in that order. Kitchens and baths are the most expensive rooms per square foot; slopes, long driveways, wells, and septic systems add site costs that flat suburban lots don’t have.

Can I finance a custom build?

Yes. Most clients use a construction loan that converts to a mortgage at completion. Central Texas lenders are familiar with custom builds and barndominiums alike, and we’re happy to point you to lenders our clients have used.

Process & Timeline

How long does a custom home take?

Plan on several months of design and permitting, then roughly 10–14 months of construction for a typical custom home, longer for complex sites or large projects. Remodels and casitas move much faster.

Do I need to own land before talking to you?

Do you handle permits, wells, and septic?

Yes. City permitting in Bee Cave or Dripping Springs, county processes in Hays, Travis, and Blanco counties, HOA design review, well coordination, and septic engineering: we manage all of it.
